Catholic Charities welcomes New Associate Executive Director

Catholic Charities of Fulton and Montgomery Counties recently announced the hiring of Anthony Eppolito as the Associate Executive Director for the agency. “This is a new position for the agency,” explained John Nasso, executive director for the agency, “which has become necessary due to the increased accountability from funding sources and the agency’s new Continuous Quality Improvement initiative.” Tony, as friends call him, retired from a long and distinguished career in the education field. He was the Principal of Knox Junior High School in Johnstown for over 20 years. He lives in Johnstown with his wife Patricia.

Tony will oversee some of the agency programs directly and will assist Nasso in overall administrative tasks including CQI, personnel and fiscal issues, and building needs. His office will be in the agency’s Montgomery County office on Kimball Street in Amsterdam.

Nasso explained, “The search process for this position took a few months and we are confident that Tony will make a very positive contribution to the agency and assist in our growth and constant striving to provide quality service.”

“I look forward to working with John and the dedicated professionals at Catholic Charities. My experience as an educator will be beneficial to the school-based programs that the agency provides in the two counties,” remarked Eppolito.
