The Legal Aid Society is a non-profit law firm providing free civil legal services to low income residents.  Our Amsterdam office serves residents of Fulton, Montgomery and Schoharie Counties.  Our services are free to eligible clients.  We provide a  range of advice and representation in matters such as housing, public assistance, social security disability and family law, especially for victims of domestic violence.  Details on how clients can access our services can be found at www.lasnny.org

Provides services to Spanish speaking youth and families to help them with self-sufficiency and academic achievement.  Promotes the integration and acceptance of Hispanic/Latino community in society through direct services, referrals, advocacy and empowerment.

Intensive Case Management-The Intensive Case Management program of AIDS Services is available to any person infected with, or affected by HIV who is currently receiving, or is eligible to receive Medicaid.  AIDS Services case management staff can assist with many different issues including: medical care, benefits, housing, substance abuse, mental health and socialization.

The 21st CCLC program provide a safe, nurturing environment beyond the regular school day where children can participate in activities that enhance and extend academic experiences, as well as provide for positive social and emotional growth and development.  Program operate daily from approximately 2:30-5:30, depending on the site.  Our services include homework help, academic enrichment, individual tutoring, counseling, nutritious snack, social activities, games, recreational activities, arts, field trip, cultural enrichment activities and periodic family nights.

Provides individualized services for people with developmental disabilities including service coordination, information and referral, residential habilitation, and in home respite.  Additional specialties include: an array of services for individuals diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and service coordination for individuals with brain injury.
