The Catholic Charities MICA Program is a nine bed, 24 hour supervised community residence. This congregate care setting is designed to provide a structured and supportive environment for individuals who are currently unable to maintain themselves independently due to complications managing a dual diagnosis of mental illness and substance use. This is a rehabilitative program designed to provide individuals with services provisioned to encourage and develop the skills necessary to manage their dual diagnosis so that they can be successful and satisfied in the environments of their choice, with the least amount of ongoing professional intervention necessary.
The MICA Program serves adults 18 or older with a dual diagnosis of serious, persistent mental illness and substance use issues. These persons may be homeless, facing legal problems or have borderline intellectual functioning. Services typically include substance abuse services, symptom management, medication management and training, health services, skill development, socialization, community integration and assertiveness training.
The MICA staff upholds the ideal of unconditional positive regard when working with the individual. The program is dedicated to providing quality services which are tailored to assist the individual in reaching their fullest potential. The staff realizes the varying needs of the individual and is committed to aiding the individual to develop the skills necessary to reach their personal goals.

SRO

The SRO provides affordable and safe housing options for eight eligible single adults. It is designed to serve those who lack adequate living arrangements. The SRO is an independent living option with minimal supervision. Case Management services will be provided on an as needed basis. To be considered for admission to the SRO, candidates need to complete an application process. Application forms will be accepted from community service providers, public housing, correctional facilities, probation, parole, social service agencies, residential facilities or prospective tenants themselves. CCFMC staff will review the application and set up an interview.

All tenants are responsible for weekly chores in order to keep the SRO clean. The SRO is designed to be drug, alcohol and weapons fee. (Violation of this policy by tenant or visitors will be cause for termination of residency.)
